RICHARD MUNCASTER, AIF®, LUTCF®
President & CEO
As President and CEO of Muncaster Financial Group, Richard is committed to providing personalized care and financial expertise, helping clients pursue and achieve their financial goals. With three decades of experience as a financial advisor, he understands the value in listening to his clients and crafting tailored strategies that align with their aspirations. Richard founded Muncaster Financial Group in 2005 after recognizing the need for a service-based, independent, financial firm. He has extensive experience working with high net worth individuals, business owners, and senior executives, offering comprehensive financial solutions. As a Registered Representative of Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. (Series 7, 6, 63) and an Investment Advisor Representative of Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc. (Series 65), he holds multiple designations, including Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Additionally, he maintains Life, Accident and Health (LA&H), and Property and Casualty (P&C) licenses ensuring a well-rounded approach to financial planning.
A passionate advocate for the Upstate of South Carolina, Richard is deeply involved in the Greenville community. He actively supports Meals on Wheels of Greenville, Greenville Clemson Alumni Club, The Meyer Center For Special Children, the American Heart Association, and the Better Business Bureau of Upstate SC.
Beyond his professional and philanthropic commitments, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheri, his son, Mills, and his stepdaughter, Sophia. He can often be found cheering on the Clemson Tigers, on the course at Greenville Country Club, visiting family in Florida, snow skiing, or relaxing at the lake.

THOMAS SIMMONS, CPA
Vice President & CFO
Thomas serves as Vice President & CFO of Muncaster Financial Group. As a CPA and financial advisor, his highest priority is to deliver truly comprehensive advice and exceptional value to his clients. His expertise spans wealth management, tax planning, estate planning, and philanthropic planning, ensuring a holistic approach to financial well-being. Since joining Muncaster Financial Group in 2017, Thomas has been instrumental in helping clients navigate complex financial decisions. Prior to his role at the firm, he spent three years at Elliott Davis, a Greenville-based public accounting firm, honing his skills in financial strategy and client services.
A Greer native, Thomas is deeply committed to the Upstate community. He serves as an Endowment Trustee for Meals on Wheels of Greenville, Chair of the Long Range Planning Committee for Memorial United Methodist Church, a Board Member for the Greenville Police Foundation, and an active member of the Greenville Estate Planning Council. His passion for service and community engagement reflects his dedication to making a lasting impact both professionally and personally.

Tricia Smith, AIF®
Retirement Plan Specialist
Tricia specializes in guiding businesses through the complexities of retirement plans focusing exclusively on helping clients design and manage their plans. Working with both plan sponsors and participants, her passion is guiding participants toward a comfortable retirement, both through plan design and empathetic education. Tricia brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic expertise, having spent decades honing her craft. Her commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the evolving retirement landscape make her a trusted partner.
Born in Asheville, North Carolina and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, she is a Carolina girl through and through. Outside of the office, Tricia enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends. As a former competitive swimmer, Division I coach, and current gym enthusiast, she exudes dedication and determination in all endeavors, both personal and professional.

Bryan Newton
Private Wealth Associate
Bryan serves as a Private Wealth Associate, helping clients design, implement, and maintain comprehensive financial plans tailored to business owners, individuals, and families. With a strong background in both financial services and commercial real estate, he brings a well-rounded perspective to wealth management.
Bryan began his financial career in 2014 as an Insurance Agent with Mutual of Omaha before becoming a Financial Representative with New York Life, where he specialized in insurance and retirement income planning for clients and their families. In 2017, he transitioned into commercial real estate as an Investor Relations Manager with RealtyLink, working closely with individuals and institutions nationwide to identify and secure investment opportunities. His experience in both industries allows him to provide strategic insights that align with clients’ long-term financial goals.
A 2010 graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an emphasis in Accounting, Bryan was also a member of the Men’s Golf Team. He now resides in Greenville, SC, with his two sons, Wells and Wyatt. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, swimming and coaching the Master’s Swim program at the Caine Halter Family YMCA.

Claudia Roe
Director of Business Development
As the Director of Business Development, Claudia’s primary focus is driving strategic growth and cultivating relationships with clients. With a focus on expanding private wealth management and 401(k) retirement plan services, Claudia works closely with the advisory team to connect clients with solutions that align with their long-term goals. Claudia is a proud graduate of Furman University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, and then, went on to earn a Master of Arts in Strategic Design, also from Furman.
A proud Greenville resident, Claudia stays actively involved in the local community. Outside the office, you’ll likely find her on a yoga mat, exploring new restaurants, or setting off on her next travel adventure.

Debbie Brown
Office Manager
Debbie serves as our Office Manager, working closely with our financial executives to ensure seamless operations and first-class client service. Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills keep the team running efficiently while providing essential administrative support to our clients. With a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina and over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, Debbie is a vital resource to the Muncaster team. Her expertise allows her to navigate the complexities of wealth management with ease—all while keeping our clients’ best interests at the forefront.
A native of Walterboro, SC, Debbie now enjoys life in Greenville with her husband, Jim. She loves taking advantage of the city’s amenities, including easy access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and cherishes time spent staying active and visiting the beach with her two grandchildren.

Sheri Muncaster
Business Development Specialist
As a Business Development Specialist, Sheri brings a wealth of experience to the table. Her background spans from business development in the higher education space to interior design and consulting. Sheri’s primary goal at Muncaster Financial is to enhance the client experience while also creating opportunities for business growth through campaigns and events.
A Greenville native and a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Sheri is passionate about the Upstate and loves to support local non-profits including the Meyer Center for Special Children, Meals on Wheels, and the American Heart Association. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, go on neighborhood walks and bike rides, and travel.
